Delusion- sweet delusion

Dreams so false that a contradiction exists even within the conscious.
Your typical Fair & Lovely commercial: Heads will turn! The tables will turn. He will want me. I will refuse. Well, not really, but how nice it will be if I do refuse.

Rationale tamed to delusional ends- the pointlessness of pursuing tall ambitions rationalized.
Consultants live such a vile lifestyle! Why would anyone do that to himself. There are things more important than money! Moreover this is not aligned to my life's goal.

Resolutions- the awareness of their futility lurking in the shadows.
I will wake up early every morning! I will be more true to myself! I will be more sensitive to her! I will no deprive myself of sleep! I will! I will!

The present made enjoyable, acceptable. Have-nots made want-nots. An impossible future spun. A make believe castle of reality erected to live in.

What are we doing really?

What decides the line between hope and delusion? What calls a thought reality? The most important question to answer to get all the other answers is this. What is the purpose of one's existence? Is it happiness? Then, what is happiness? Is it feeling good about oneself at a point of time? Then, delusion might be the answer. But what then, if you know that it is false happiness. What is "true" happiness then? Does it even exist? Is there anything that is not delusion? Isn't delusion relative? A non-believer look at the priest and mocks at his delusion; the priest smiles benevolently at the atheist's.

Wat of the future? What separates hope and dreams from delusion? What decides the dreams that are real and the ones that are delusional? The height of them? The belief in them? The rationale behind them? The ability of the dreamer?

Is delusion not desirable? Can the world progress without delusion? Isn't the pursuit of delusion the foothold of hope and progress? Isn't delusion the castle that is built in the air and hope the foundation that is laid beneath it?

Isn't delusion the reason man is miserable?

Isn't delusion the reason man survives? Prospers?
